Link Financial Outsourcing are seeking an experienced Learning and Development Trainer to join our vibrant team on a full time, permanent basis.

Job Role

As a Learning and Development Trainer you will support the learning and professional development of new and existing employees by equipping them with the knowledge and skills to carry out their work activities effectively primarily through face-to-face delivery. You will contribute to all elements of the Learning Cycle including needs analysis, design, development, and evaluation of learning solutions targeted at addressing critical business needs. You will be required to work closely with subject matter experts from the business to develop learning solutions, communications, support plans and innovative solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The expectation is for the succesful candidate to be undertaking face to face delivery for the majority of their time
  • Identify learning and development needs within the business through role analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and human resources departments
  • Design and expand training and development programmes based on the needs of the business and the individual
  • Work individually and as part of the wider HR team to produce programmes that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in the business, such as Officers, Line Managers and Senior Managers
  • Lead the development and delivery of business wide regular induction programmes for all new employees, ensuring the content is reviewed and updated continually in line with feedback received
  • Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers
  • Produce training materials for in-house courses
  • Create and deliver a range of e-learning courses
  • Support the delivery of learning and development programmes, ensuring that any statutory training requirements are met
  • Evaluate learning and development programmes using the Kirkpatrick model
  • Assist line managers to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
  • Maintain accurate records for all learning and development activity and ensure that non-attendance is addressed with the relevant department manager
  • Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses
  • Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research

Work Experience and Qualifications

  • Strong proven L&D experience, preferably in a regulated environment
  • Strong evidence of managing and delivering the full L&D cycle from needs analysis through to evaluation of strategic L&D interventions
  • Demonstrates an ability to influence, collaborate, build and maintain effective working relationships with managers and colleagues at all levels
  • Experience in analysing a business problem and working with multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop a solution to resolve it
  • Experience of designing, delivering and implementing training and development programmes (including management and leadership development)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to at least intermediate level
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to present information
  • Ability to focus on results through planning ahead, managing expectations and solving problems

  • Experience of operating in a regulatory environment

Additional information

  • Salary - Up to £26,000 per annum
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm.
