Job Context

As we exit lockdown and restrictions this is an exciting opportunity to reinvigorate our youth offer, working in close partnership with partner organisations who share our commitment to transforming the lives of young people.

Duties And Responsibilities

To design and develop youth work responses underpinned by the 4 cornerstones of youth work (Equality, Education, Empowerment and Participation) and informed by the strategic objectives of the YMCA.

To initiate and develop youth work with 11 – 19 year olds (up to 25 for young people with disabilities).

To work directly with young people to enable them to broaden their horizons and engage in positive activities.

To supervise and support a small staff team of paid and volunteer staff.

A working week of 37.5 hours including delivery a minimum of 3 evenings per week plus occasional weekends
