This role is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Web Developer to join a well established and growing Digital Marketing Agency.

As part of our Design & Development team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high quality, fully optimised and engaging websites along with a range of digital marketing materials, including landing pages, display ads, and email templates.

This position is exciting and fast-paced, perfect for an experienced developer with at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.

Personal Profile and Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in frontend web development.
  • Confident in hand-coding responsive websites using HTML and CSS3.
  • Advanced WordPress & WooCommerce knowledge.
  • Proven experience in JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap and Git, PHP.
  • Good understanding of design software – such as Adobe Creative Suite and Invision
  • Experience in both page-builder themes and custom theme WordPress website development.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • A keen eye for detail, both functional and aesthetic.
  • Self-motivated and always keen to learn.
  • Eager to solve problems efficiently and effectively.

Desirable

  • Custom WordPress plugin development experience
  • Experience working with third-party API’s and integrating these into WordPress / WooCommerce websites.
  • A good understanding of server environments and undertaking basic server maintenance using command line/shell technologies.
  • Good understanding of Bootstrap and writing CSS code to follow the BEM methodology, compiled using SASS/SCSS techniques (experience working with tools such as Gulp and Webpack).

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the design team on new projects, seeing these through the discovery phase to delivering the solution.
  • Research and propose solutions for new and existing clients.
  • Lead and mentor the development team to maintain and support the existing portfolio of clients and projects.
  • Work effectively both independently and within a team, taking ownership of your work to ensure this is delivered to high quality, on budget and on time.
  • Drive internal standards and improvements by taking a proactive approach to researching new ideas and techniques.
