The role


Joining our professional, personable team at our Hinckley Roston Drive practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will play a key role in leading and managing the team. You will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice client base, ensuring high standards of care are always delivered.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively and empathetically, such as good communication skills, mediation experience, and the ability to share knowledge and lead by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

Branch Partnership opportunities within this practice are also available where you can own part of the clinic, have complete clinical freedom whilst receiving full support from the wider Medivet network.

Salary package up to £66,529 depending on experience, to include:
  • Competitive salary
  • Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance per annum
  • Accommodation allowance £6,600 per annum
  • £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave per annum
  • VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays per annum

The role is working 4 days per week plus 1:3 Saturdays.

Key accountabilities


We are seeking an ambitious Lead Veterinary Surgeon that will drive high clinical standards and take ownership. There is a large scope to generate a dedicated client base.


Skills and experience


The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience.

Strong management and mentor skills are essential as you will play a crucial part within the team.

You must be a Veterinary Surgeon who is registered with the RCVS.
