Lead Software Engineer - Hybrid Working/Gloucester- Up to £90,000, depending on experience.

Our client is a prominent technology and engineering company that work on some of the best and most interesting tech projects around, supporting National Security, Defence, and Public/Private sector.

They have 600+ employees UK-wide and looking to increase that by expanding their Software Engineering team. In this role, you will work on innovative software solutions and ground-breaking projects that have real-world and life-altering applications.

You must be eligible for SC Clearance to apply for this role (5 years in UK minimum)

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for leading agile software teams in the development of technical solutions for our client’s national secutiy customers. You will have deep knowledge in a number of areas, this is an opportunity to use that experience to define novel technical approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading software engineering teams technically
  • Leading on engagements with customers
  • Preparing and contributing to technical proposals and bids
  • Working effectively with Delivery Management to escalate risks, plan deliveries, and resourcing
  • Supporting the customer account team by contributing to business development strategy

We are looking for you to have experience in areas including:

  • Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Full stack web application development
  • Mobile applications
  • SaaS
  • API development
  • Front-end development and UX
  • Agile practices (Scrum/SAFe/Kanban)

Beyond your technical skills, you will be proactive and able to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will be curious and seek out the best approach/solution/tool for the job at hand.

Security Information

Due to the nature of this position, we require you to be willing and eligible to achieve a minimum of SC & DV clearance. To qualify, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years for SC and 10 years for DV
