Early Intervention in Psychosis Service- Lead Practitioner AFC Band 6

This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate, empathetic and experienced nurse, occupational therapist or social worker to work within a dynamic MDT supporting people experiencing first episode psychosis and, their carers and families in West Sussex. The base for this post is in Bognor Regis, on the South Coast in west Sussex, however the team regularly works flexibly and remotely using a range of digital solutions for meetings and consultations.

You will support a caseload of clients by way of effective care co-ordination and offering recovery focussed psychosocial interventions across a variety of settings. Previous experience of supporting clients with psychosis and complex mental health and social care problems is required. You need to have a real commitment to and understanding of the principles and goals of Early Intervention and this client group.

This is an exciting opportunity due to service expansion to now offer a fulltime Lead Practitioner post in the Bognor Early Intervention in Psychosis Team. The Early intervention team has expanded its service for all 14-65yr olds. It provides assertive outreach mental health care to people with a first episode psychosis. The post holder will work within the Bognor EIPS team which covers Bognor, Chichester and the inland rural areas of West Sussex. The team base is co located with an outpatient service in Bognor with on-road parking.
