Job Description

Lead Operative

£12.19 - £14.07 per hour

Penrith

Immediate start

3 shift rota

Shift 06.00 to 14.00 14.00 to 22.00 22.00 to 06.00

Mon to Fri only

Full time, permanent contracts

We are now looking for a Lead Operativeto set the standards for production and operational activities.

As Lead Operative, you will lead and develop your team, remodel production activities towards world-class performance and make continuous improvement standard practice. You will inspire team members towards hitting their targets.

Your Responsibilities
  • Understand and manage SQDIP Board daily
  • Communicate with your team the daily results
  • Encourage good practice amongst your team
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Maintaining quality checks
  • Work within the specified budgets covering headcount, overtime, absence and holidays
  • Cover the role of VSL in their absence
  • Ensure delivery targets are met and maintained OTIF
  • Work closely with VSL and VSM to control costs
  • Be available for stock taking and ensure correct recording of stock levels are carried out daily
Required Profile
  • We are looking for someone who understands a SAFETY FIRST culture and is able to achieve safety and quality standards
  • Previous experience of organising, leading and training others
  • Previous experience in a similar environment is desirable however not essential
