Job Details Grade: 10A Hourly Rate: £24.70 - £25.83 Salary: £45,078.91 - £47,141.16 per annum Contract Duration: Temporary until 30/03/2025 Please note successful applicants will be placed on the first point of the salary scale unless they meet certain criteria. Role Purpose A vacancy has arisen in the Scottish Borders for a Promise Lead Officer post. The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination, planning and monitoring of The Promise work on behalf of the Scottish Borders Children and Young People Strategic Planning Partnership. Responsibilities will include providing professional support to the Partnership to ensure the effective operation of its remit in the planning, monitoring and development of The Promise systems and practice in the Scottish Borders and, leading the development, maintenance and implementation of a framework of policies, plans and procedures to promote best practice and implement change for care experienced children, young people and their families and for those in need of support. The post holder will also represent the Scottish Borders nationally in order to inform local policy and service development. The post holder will also have managerial responsibility for a small team. Essential Approved qualification in Social Work, and SSSC registration or evidence of comparable academic experience and training.
