Who are we looking for?

A passionate, energetic and inspirational Lead Night Worker who will work within our team in Lincolnshire to take overall responsibility for a defined geographical area delivering a high-quality service to young people and will be responsible for managing the safety and security of the building and those within it. Our service is for young people aged 16-17 and care leavers up to 21 years with complex needs including social, emotional and behavioural difficult. You will work collaboratively across Nacro and with external stakeholders ensuring that you and your team provide a good service. This is a fast paced, reactive environment where energy and initiative are vital.

We are looking for someone with a sound understanding of the support needs of Young People who typically use our services. The ideal candidate must have at least one year’s professional experience of working with Young People or at least three years’ experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting.

We are looking for an individual with previous experience of supervising individuals with the ability to establish and maintain constructive relationships with a wide range of people including providers in external agencies. You must hold a Level 2 understanding of computers, word processing and updating computer databases.

Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Act as a lead person and take responsibility for decisions about the provision of the service providing advice to colleagues, managing any incidents and escalating issues the Service lead or ‘On Call’ manager.
  • Act as an initial point of reference for Nacro service users and external agencies.
  • Identify any key risks to delivering the service and escalate to the Service Lead or senior managers.
  • Participate in the management of rota formulation and resource management for night cover.
  • Implement night security systems, ensuring overall safety and security and respond to faults as discovered.
  • Monitor access to the services and visitors, logging and reporting incidents and antisocial behaviour.
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

A Full Driving Licence and access to own vehicle are essential criteria for this role.

This role involves working on a rota basis, and you must be able to work shifts on a rolling 3-week rota.
