Role & Responsibilities:
  • Act as the appointed Duty Holder for Pressure Systems and LOLER equipment.
  • Approving Statutory inspection documents and internal authority documents.
  • Ensure the site’s compliance with the statutory mechanical and lifting regulations.
  • Own and oversee the safe systems of work for mechanical equipment at all times.
  • Develop and deliver compliance improvement plans where required.
  • Produce, implement, maintain and apply site mechanical standards, implement the site maintenance policies for mechanical items, ensuring all planned regulatory and statutory compliance tasks are correctly specified and critical spares are available to allow the maintenance team to effectively complete routine tasks.
  • Work with the Technical Operations Group to ensure that all electrical equipment and instrumentation are suitable to meet process requirements.
  • Technically review and authorise designs for capital projects, actively participate in defining projects, inspect construction and receive handover of new installations.
  • Participate in review of new installations on the facility to ensure their maintainability and reliability.
  • Review and investigate key equipment failures and maintenance trend data to determine root cause and implement suitable countermeasures against reoccurring failures.
  • Revise procedures and processes accordingly and champion the 5C process for improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A degree qualified engineer, or have HNC/HND equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a technical /reliability role
  • Ability to work without supervision yet able to judge when advice and support is required
  • Gathering of reliability data and analysis to trend and highlight areas of improvement
