The Quality Lead Release Co-ordinate Engineer is the focal point for problem solving and co-ordination the software releases the rest of the Quality Team generate to rectify customer issues. They are responsible for interface with Propulsion SW integration team, SO TA (software over the air) team, other Quality Leads, process development, application and alignment across the Propulsion Software Quality team. They lead the Propulsion Software Quality issue resolution delivery across all programs and are directly responsible for the D3 and D5 elements of the 8D process, working within an Agile framework. In addition to co-ordination releases, the successful candidate will also lead Quality Projects through the 8D process in order to develop their problem solving expertise and add value to the rest of the team.Key Responsibilities & Account AbilitiesPropulsion Software Quality planning activities and communication with the calibration and propulsion Quality teams
  • Ownership of Releasing IRA board
Customer issue resolution delivery and problem solving technical excellence
  • Supporting sign off for issue resolution delivery
  • Development, documentation, maintenance and sharing of C&C Quality issue resolution.
  • Leading senior quality reviews including agenda setting, minutes and action tracking
  • Driving common approaches for tools, analysis techniques, processes and reports in order to improve the C&C Quality team efficiency.
  • Governance of 8D process D2-D6 steps
  • Prevent recurrence initiation at D4 step with SAME
  • Initiation of concern management and raising for SW and Calibration delivery
  • Responsible for calibration quality and reporting calibration status
  • Actively support the software change request process with suppliers and external resource
  • Applying lessons Lent and best practises
EssentialKnowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Understand the principles of embedded automotive control (Incl Diagnostics and Networks)
  • Experience working with complex embedded software strategies
  • Experience in data driven technical reporting
DesirableQualified to degree level in an Engineering discipline
  • Prior Vehicle level calibration and test experience preferred
  • Experienced in the principles of 6- sigma and 8D processes
  • User of calibration tool set Mat lab, Slink, INCA, VAL Cr eta, Diadem,
