The job

Brighton & Hove Albion FC are hiring for a Lead Goal Keeping Coach to come and join the team to deliver a specific goalkeeping programme to all development goalkeepers aged 7 - 21 and specific coaching responsibilities for the under 18 - 21 age groups. An exciting opportunity for someone who is a student of the game and is continuously looking to improve and develop themselves and others. The Club are looking for someone who shares a collaborative approach to youth development.

What does the day to day look like?

As Lead Goal Keeping Coach it will be your responsibility to develop, manage, deliver and enhance the comprehensive goalkeeper development programme for our academy ages from U9 through to U23. You will conduct daily coaching sessions for the goalkeepers in our U17 - U23 age groups and work co-operatively with the first team goalkeeping coach on all aspects of goalkeeping. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with the scouting and recruitment department and medical teams. As Lead Goal Keeping Coach you will manage and support two full-time goalkeeping coaches and one part-time sessional coach.

What we need

To be considered for the role, the post-holder will need to hold a UEFA A Licence. It would be beneficial to hold a UEFA Pro Licence and Advanced Youth Award, but this is not a prerequisite for the role.

It is essential that the post-holder has experience of developing elite goalkeepers to elite levels of the game and to have a high level of football industry knowledge with previous experience in full time professional football.

The successful candidate must also be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS CRC (Criminal Background Check).
