Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be partnered with Envirovent, one of West Yorkshire’s largest manufacturers, in the recruitment of a Lead Electronics Engineer.

The successful Lead Electronics Engineer will work from their brand-new purpose-built manufacturing facility in Harrogate, where the team are long serving members of the business and one which promotes a positive, hard working and flexible work culture.

Envirovent has helped over a million homes solve damp, condensation and mould issues across the UK. Their award-winning ventilation products create all year round healthy, fresh, and ideal indoor environments. They now employ over 270 people and have become the fastest growing ventilation manufacturer in the UK.

This Lead Electronics Engineer position requires someone who can influence, shape and lead communications from a technical electrical/electronic design perspective across the varied departments and third-party relations. This role will suit someone with a passion for electrical/electronic design and has the right passion, drive and enthusiasm to fit the culture and journey of Envirovent.

The Lead Electronics Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the internal lead for all electronics NPD projects, liaising with appropriate teams to develop key design targets for electronics
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements, making recommendation for change or development
  • Project Managing third party designers and NPD from curation to execution
  • Reviewing existing project range; costs and improvements, taking the lead with electric changes for production purposes
  • Finding alternative components for those which are approaching ‘end of life’
  • Working closely with suppliers, respond to enquiries, problem solve and work together to achieve R&D goals
  • Reviewing data; prioritising work flow to ensure project delivery is on time in full and on budget
  • Preparing equipment for testing; ensuring product details are available and reports show any adjustments made or required no matter how large or small
  • Ensuring you are abreast with the electronic market, trends, costs and any potential problems
  • Having a safety first approach, ensuring the products are in line with all regulatory requirements for electrical safety (ROHS, Safety (LVD) EMC etc.)
  • Working with a ‘customer first’ approach, being proactive in your approach and keeping both line, departmental and stakeholders up to date on any changes for both the products and the wider market

Elevation Recruitment Group are keen to speak with engineers who possess the following skills & experience:

  • Degree qualified, preferably with an electrical / electronic manufacturing bias
  • Demonstrable experience working within a design and manufacturing environment, electronics, and PCBs – highly desired
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage third party relations through to stakeholder management
  • Driven individual with customer satisfaction and safety-first approach
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and complex manufacturing
