The Lead Digital nurse will provide leadership support of the clinical informatics, strategy, development and implementation, championing data quality and interoperability, navigating barriers to improved data integration and analyses. They will combine knowledge of patient care, informatic concepts, and change management to effectively address the information and knowledge needs of healthcare professionals and patients to promote safe, effective, and efficient use of health IT in clinical settings.
  • The post holder will champion digital technology as an intrinsic part of daily clinician activities and the benefits this can provide across all clinical specialties and disciplines. In addition, this role will also provide leadership to members of the workforce who find digital technology challenging or are resistant to change.
  • The post holder will be a strong leader with technical and learning expertise to enable them to deliver high profile learning and support program for digital initiatives across the Trust. This includes leading the integration of digital learning and supporting the vision to deliver first class learning packages and support to clinical staff. At times, the position may be required to contribute to similar initiatives with WSHT where projects and implementations span the whole Trust.
  • To work as an autonomous practitioner, liaising with all members of the multidisciplinary teams internal and external to IM&T in order to provide clinical expertise regarding digital initiatives from business case development, system configuration and build, rollout and transition to BAU services.
  • Communicate and lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive forward-thinking and ambitious change, communication and training strategy for all digital initiatives throughout the Trust(s).
