Lead Business Development Manager - Eastern Europe

Do you have experience manging sales teams and do you speak Russian or any other European language? We are looking for you!

Expedia Group Media Solutions is looking for a Lead Business Development Manager for the Northern Central Eastern European team (display) to achieve growth and sales targets by successfully leading and motivating a team of Business Development Managers! You will lead a designated territory within Northern, Central and Eastern Europe.

What you’ll do:

  • Leading the recruitment, onboarding, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of said sales team including input on revenue targets and forecasting.
  • Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully leading a team of individual contributors whilst maintaining own book of business.
  • Growing Media Solutions sales footprint within region through new client acquisition and retention/growth of existing accounts, leading deal negotiations with key clients. Delivering against monthly, quarterly and annual goals within assigned territory.
  • Guiding sellers to develop robust territory plans and strategies & help direct reports manage complexity and working through ambiguity
  • Developing relationships with important clients and prospects within their region
  • Work with Director Business Development of strategy and sales management practices to establish a global sales practice within MESO.
  • Work with cross functional leadership to find opportunities, advise decision making and solidify the MESO value proposition in-region and company-wide
  • Work with executive-level media industry leaders to establish Media Solutions as a leader and innovator in digital media
  • Attend and participate in key industry events, conferences, speaking opportunities, etc with the ability to represent all of Media Solutions
  • Evangelize MESO internally and work with internal teams to increase value of partner relationships
  • Regularly give valuable input and feedback to teammates including insight and findings from weekly sales results.


Who you are:

  • Highly fluent in English and Russian or other Eastern European language
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
  • You have validated and confirmed experience in digital media within the travel industry
  • You have demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, and motivating a sales team in online advertising
  • Validated experience of consistently exceeding sales goals, individually and as a manager of a team
  • Strong sales prospecting, negotiating and closing abilities
  • Strong commercial instinct and entrepreneurial drive
  • Outstanding communication skills – in both written and oral presentation - influencing and relationship building skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Solid decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Strong propensity to take initiative and thrive with change
  • Experience delivering high quality results, whilst growing in a fast-paced environment
  • (Inter)national travel required
