A Lead Architectural Designer is required to join a family run modular Construction business in Hull that specialises in providing modern and durable space solutions to national health service trusts across the UK.Using modern methods of construction and their flexible approach to building design development our client creates bespoke sustainable buildings with innovative designs driven by the individual needs of each NHS trust. Buildings are delivered rapidly and will have the flexibility to cater for a myriad of potential future uses where NHS staff are well equipped to carry out their inspirational work.They are a growing family business who realises how important their team is to their success with is in turn rewarded. This key role of Lead Architectural Designer will be an integral part of their talented design team, working alongside the head of design we need someone who is reliable and trustworthy to take care of large multi-million pound projects up to 25m in value!You will have a flexible hybrid role where you only come to their office in Hull for team briefings and creative meetings, 2-3 days a week maximum. Your life outside work is important - it makes you a better employee if you are happy.Duties and responsibilities for the Lead Architectural Designer
  • Meeting with clients to discuss the design requirements for new constructions
  • Gathering the necessary measurements, dimensions, and other routine calculations for design layouts.
  • Providing clients with suitable design recommendations based on factors such as budget, the building site, and recent trends.
  • Using REVIT software to produce architectural plans for management and client approval.
  • Reworking and modifying designs based on comments and reviews from management and clients.
  • Ensuring all vital information and documentation is recorded and maintained.
  • Ensuring that all layouts are compliant with industry codes and legal standards.
  • Self-motivated; ability to work independently and in a team environment to coordinate and maintain positive working relationships with other design professionals
  • Excellent problem solver and independent thinker with good listening skills and strong follow-through
  • Excellent graphic, communication, organisational, and collaborative skills
  • Strong proficiency modelling in REVIT
  • Architectural practice background and degree qualified either Part 1 or Part 2 level.
  • Preferred 3 to 10 years of professional experience
  • Experience working in healthcare preferable but not essential
  • Experience working in the modular industry preferable but not essential
  • Travel to and visit project construction sites.(Site visits may require travel involving both day trips and some overnight stays to out of town project locations)
The successful Lead Architectural Designer must have the ability to express oneself clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, and communicate ideas in presentations to client and team members. They must also possess strong architectural design and planning skills. A portfolio representing recent work is required to be presented during the interview.Benefits
