As part of the Global Business Services Finance team based in the Paisley Centre of Excellence the role-holder will be expected to deliver a high-quality finance service to internal business partners, supporting analysis and reporting of an annual through put of circa 150,000 invoices.
This junior-mid le role supports the EMEA region across multiple ERPs and has a breadth of external partners. The role-holder will have a unique opportunity to drive process enhancement and productivity improvement through targeted analysis and improvement intervention.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for investigating and analysing outstanding payments
- Providing weekly reports and statistics
- Produce monthly metric reports with effective analysis to drive sustainable improvement
- Business partner with other Finance teams to help drive improvements within processes
- Governance of SOX & departmental controls, dealing with Audit requests when required
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and analysis, ensuring full SOX and audit compliance
- Drive and lead improvement activities applying continuous improvement focusing on automation and elimination
- Support the GRIR process working with key Procurement contacts to ensure clean ledgers
Requirements/Qualifications:
Key Skills
- Requires considerable (3+years) experience in an accounts or finance position, preferably in an analyst role or function
- Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders calmly and efficiently
- Analytical mindset and approach
- Experience of continuous improvement principles
- Strong knowledge in MS Office including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience within a multi-national environment advantageous
- Clear understanding of accounting standards and guidelines
- Teammate with the ability to work on own and as part of a team
- Educated to UK standard/higher grade, European High School leaving certificate equivalent
