Due to the increase in sales of Stellantis Light Commercial Vehicles and the introduction of ever-increasing technologies Calex are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a new (LCV) Light Vehicle Technical Trainer to work at The Stellantis Performance Academy in Coventry.

As a Light Vehicle Technical Trainer , you will be responsible for delivering high-quality automotive training to LCV Technicians, therefore we are looking for experience and extensive knowledge of the light vehicle sector as a technician or similar. This role will give you the opportunity to train and impart your skills and experience by developing Stellantis technicians.

You’ll be passionate about making a difference to learners’ lives and have the enthusiasm to succeed. You’ll possess great interpersonal skills, as well as being organised and confident. You’ll also be great at working on your own initiative and in a team environment.

You will be able to confidently deliver technical courses to various levels of Technicians, delivering new model / technology courses as well as curriculum-based learning.

You should have a good understanding of High Voltage systems as the industry transitions into the era of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles. Applicants holding a recognised EV qualification and previous brand experience are preferred.

You will be required to use a variety of delivery methods including virtual & classroom delivery and will want to deliver outstanding results and have a real passion for learning & development in the automotive industry.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

· Deliver high quality, engaging, professional and effective technical learning to the very highest standards

· Deliver agreed number of days learning through a blended approach of virtual and attended courses

· Work alongside other trainers delivering developed curriculum courses and other Stellantis specific training

· Deliver technical training on events such as new product or technical update meetings

· Provide ideas for continual improvements to course structure and delivery

· Maintain and formally report to Stellantis and Calex management on the development of the Technician syllabus

· Adapt your style to the audience, retaining consistent delivery for key messages

· Building positive working relationships with Calex staff and Stellantis management team

· Prepare the learning environment and resources including setting up the workshop vehicles with training faults

About you:

· Experienced in blended learning delivery including virtual training – Preferred but not essential

· Advanced automotive and electrical knowledge: 1 year (Required)

· Experience working with High Voltage systems: 1 year (Required)

· A strong ‘Customer First’ ethic

· A passion for learning and coaching others

· Strong personal presence, confidence, and credibility

· Be able to interact with a wide variety of delegates

· Ability to recognise and respond to different learning styles

· Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Be articulate and able to influence and inspire others

· Be a self-starter who understands the need to be flexible

· Be an excellent team player along with the ability to work alone

· Hold a current Air Con Gas Handling Qualification - Preferable

· Willing to travel and stay away if required

Salary & Benefits

£35,000 per annum depending on experience, Company Car, 26 days annual leave, employee benefit package. Working hours for the role are Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week.
