Essential Duties Of The Position
  • Schedules Laundry Technicians to daily work stations.
  • Coordinates workloads and activities with other departments, as necessary.
  • Trains Laundry Technicians on assigned shift in their responsibilities, and monitors their work.
  • Assists with evaluation of performance and progress of Laundry Technician Associates, adjusting training and procedures as needed.
  • Consistently motivates Laundry team to maximize productivity and keep morale levels high.
  • Responsible for successful operation of machines in the facility, and completion of all laundry functions for all properties, ensuring maximum productivity.
  • Operates sort line, washroom, dryers, and finishing machines in accordance with recommended capacity and other manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Routinely inspects work areas to identify cleaning needs, potential safety hazards, problems and maintenance or repair needs. Notifies the appropriate individuals for proper resolution.
  • Notifies Laundry Manager or other Management of incidents or conflicts that may affect production.
  • Responsible for complying with all Laundry inspection processes, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and re-stock as needed.
  • Assist Laundry Driver(s) in loading, unloading, and weighing of linen carts.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Requirements Of The Position
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and maintaining adequate staffing level to complete all work daily.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of two (2) years related experience in laundry/housekeeping or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Minimum of one (1) year successful supervisory/management experience in a production environment or equivalent.
