We are looking for a part-time Laundry Technician / Housekeeper to join our friendly team based in Lifton.

The role is for 4 evenings shifts a week 5pm - 11pm as a laundry technician and Friday and Saturday housekeeping.

In the laundry technician role you will join an existing team to help with the day to day running of the launderettes. You will be overseeing and operating dry cleaning machines, washing machines and an ironing press, taking care of the linen for commercial and holiday properties

You Will Be Responsible For
  • Loading articles into the dry-cleaning machines or washers at regular intervals to ensure steady availability of towels and linen
  • Regulating machine processes when starting the washers and driers; turn levels and valves to control volume of additives, specific cycles and temperature
  • Sort articles before cleaning, separating them by fabric, colour and cleaning technique.
  • Sort and count articles as they are removed from dryers; hang, fold or wrap the articles according to requirements
  • Use a hand marker to place identifying names on the dry cleaning or laundry
  • Operating an iron pressers to ensure the linen is uncreased
  • Changeovers of holiday properties between check in times of 10.00am to 4.00pm on a Friday and Saturdays
  • Transport will be required due to the location of properties
  • Full training will be given to the successful applicant.
