We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Land Drainage Engineer to become a pivotal part of our Drainage Team to review, assess and approve the drainage aspects of planning applications and related matters on a permanent contract based out of Monkton Park in Chippenham.
LIVE∙WORK∙DELIVER
Our Drainage Team are responsible for inspecting, maintaining and improving the drainage infrastructure on highways and land owned and maintained by Wiltshire Council as well as providing technical advice to internal and external bodies throughout the county.
About The Role
We will look to you to ensure the effective management of flood risk and drainage improvements across the county, by organising and project managing the Council’s programme of drainage and flood reduction initiatives which will incorporate improvements to enhance environmental value and promotes the adoption of sustainable drainage schemes
About You
With a degree in civil engineering or with extensive drainage experience, you will have expert technical skills regarding civil engineering, with specialist knowledge of drainage and flood risk management.
You will have excellent communication and project management skills, with proven experience of dealing with the public and elected members as well as report writing and translating technical documents.
