Here at Lockheed Martin, we are offering the fantastic opportunity to join our prestigious company as our Rotary and Mission Systems Chief Engineer Land CEMA Architect.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer with an abundance of experience in the Land Domain. If you have experience of Electronic Warfare or Radio Frequency, this will also be hugely beneficial.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer and working in close collaboration with other solution architects and subject matter experts, you will play a leading role in the design and development of Land CEMA solutions to support the delivery of current and future programmes. The role will span the entire Land CEMA domain, from interaction with key stakeholders to shape the ongoing evolution of the Land CEMA architecture to the design and technical delivery of compliant solutions. It will also require a detailed understanding of how Land CEMA fits into broader programme goals, including overall solution design, complex systems integration, and solution support and sustainment.

Required skills and experience:

  • Broad understanding of the MOD Land CEMA architecture (LCA)
  • Experience developing modular open systems architectures that support the integration of both in-house and third-party capabilities.
  • Experience with the design and development of systems in at least one of:
  • Electronic Warfare
  • Electronic Countermeasures / Counter-IED
  • Military Communications Networks
  • Signals Intelligence

Customer-Facing Skills:

  • Confidence in a customer-facing role, working with stakeholders at all levels
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas to internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to understand customer goals and aspirations, develop and agree requirement specifications, and design appropriate high- and low-level solutions

Desired skills and experience:

  • Experience in the Force Protection domain
  • Experience developing LCA-compliant solutions
  • Experience in military vehicle systems integration
  • Knowledge of Radio Frequency tools and techniques
  • Experience with system modelling toolsets and methodologies, e.g. Sparx Enterprise Architect, UML, SysML, or similar
  • Experience leading technical teams to deliver solutions to agreed budget, schedule, and scope
