Core Laboratories are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the team to work in our Reservoir Fluids PVT and Flow Assurance laboratories within our Aberdeen Advanced Technology Centre. The successful candidate will be able to operate cohesively in a team environment, have sound problem solving skills and carry out tasks demonstrating high level of detail. This role will be reporting to the Reservoir Fluids Laboratories Supervisor, and the role includes but not limited to offshore fieldwork on an ad-hoc basis. The nature of ad-hoc offshore work requires flexibility and the ability to travel offshore at short notice.

Main Duties

• ​To perform a range of PVT and Flow Assurance laboratory tests unsupervised following successful completion of training
• To perform tests in accordance with documented procedures and work instructions in accordance with Core Lab’s QA system
• To perform equipment calibration and maintenance in accordance with documented procedures
• To accurately record information from tests on all worksheets, data, and administrative forms
• To perform the duties of the position according to documented procedures and work instructions
• Assist with any other duties as and when required

Qualifications/Skills

Required:
-Qualification at HNC or degree level in a relevant scientific discipline or relevant experience working in a laboratory environment.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 software.
-Good time management skills.

Desired Relevant laboratory experience including:
-Handling of pressurised fluid samples.
-Reservoir Condition Analysis (PVT) techniques.
-Gas Chromatography techniques.
-Flow Assurance testing techniques.
-Production Chemistry.

Salary: £24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
