Powertutors is seeking a dedicated and compassionate tutor to join our team and provide tailored support to a student at KS3/GCSE level. This is a fantastic opportunity to empower a student and help them thrive in their studies! Student Profile:-Year/Level: Last at school in Y8
  • Subject: History
  • Working Level: KS3/GCSE Tutoring Details:
  • Hours per week: 2
  • Days & Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 AM to 12 PM
  • Tuition Address: Caterham, CR3 Important Notes:
  • Prioritise Relationship Building: We encourage tutors to start by establishing a strong connection with the student. Get to know her, understand her needs, and build a supportive relationship.
  • No Homework or Tests: The focus of the tutoring sessions will be on individualised instruction, not on assigning homework or conducting tests.
  • Student’s Challenges: The student has ASD and epilepsy. As a tutor, you will play a crucial role in building her confidence and adapting to her learning style. Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and interactive History lessons, customised to the student’s working level.
  • Provide one-on-one support to the student, focusing on building her confidence and enhancing her understanding of historical concepts.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate the student’s learning needs and preferences.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages the student’s participation and progress. Requirements:
  • Excellent knowledge of History at KS3/GCSE level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and empathy to support a student with special educational needs.
