KS2 Intervention Teacher required in Brighton & Hove

Intervention Teacher needed in Brighton & Hove

At Engage Education, we’ve specialised in recruiting teachers and support staff for over a decade, so we know a bit about finding the ideal school for you. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic Intervention Teacher to work on a full time basis holding small group Maths interventions for children who have fallen behind due to Covid-19 at a fantastic primary school in the Brighton and Hove area.

This role is to start in September 2023 and will be 5 full days.

About the role:

Engage Education is currently working with a Ofsted ‘Good’ School in Brighton who are seeking an experienced intervention teacher to work across KS2. Interventions will include running booster classes in core subjects, focusing on social and emotional development.

This has been a challenging time for many of the school’s pupils and they are looking for an inspiring teacher to help the team get back on track!

About the School:

The schools main priority is to develop the whole child. They encourage their children to work hard and strive to achieve in everything they do through a safe, nurturing environment where caring for others is expected by every pupil and staff member. All of the children are encouraged to develop as individuals. Their particular talents are recognised and they are taught to rise to a challenge and to increase independence in all of their learning experiences.

This role will mainly be working in year 5 and 6 but may require some time in lower Key stage 2 as well. This role is to start in September 2021

The ideal candidate:

  • A qualified teacher (the school is happy to consider NQTs for the role)
  • Confidence in teaching primary lessons to all abilities
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Able to inspire and innovate in the classroom
  • A passion for education
