Lower Heath CE Primary, Prees, Whitchurch are looking to appoint an outstanding individual to teach our mixed year 1/2 class. We are a friendly, hardworking team with delightful children who behave well and always try their best. This role will an require an outstanding individual who has the ambition to lead, develop and support effective practice for pupils and can ensure rapid progress in line with the school’s expectations.


Lower Heath consists of three mixed year group classes (KS1, LKS2 and UKS2) in the main school building with our EYFS (Reception and Nursery) situated in a demountable. The school environment, curriculum and extra-curricular activities support, foster, and inspire pupils to achieve success, providing opportunities for them to make a valuable contribution to the local, national and global community.

The successful applicant will teach a class of Year 1/2 pupils. The class has the support of Teaching Assistants; the teacher is responsible for arranging and directing their work. You will be expected to create a secure, happy and stimulating classroom environment, maintaining the highest standards of organisation, and discipline. Applicants should state areas of the curriculum for which they have particular expertise/interests, as subject leadership will be an additional part of the teaching role (for experienced teachers).
