The Museum is looking to develop and implement a Digitisation Strategy in 2021 The strategy will aim to widen our audience base and increase accessibility to the collections and exhibitions. To do this we will be creating an online catalogue, virtual museum tours and exhibitions, education material and podcasts. Digitisation Assistants will be trained to work in two of the following areas based on their interests and skill sets: - Collection Photography Building an Online Catalogue & Data Entry Image Scanning Compiling Online Exhibitions/Educational Materials Virtual Tour & Podcast Production Proof reading/copy editing materials Research These roles are ideal for those seeking to develop technical skills or interested in creating and developing online platforms. There will also be opportunities of individuals are are less interested in the technical side, but more research, administration and image scanning. These roles are only suitable for individuals able to commit in the medium to long term.

You will have knowledge and experience of BACs You will have knowledge and use Microsoft Office Word and use and access to email You are able to work as part of a Team

These roles are not suitable for those looking for a short term placement or only available at weekends. You will be assigned a Mentor and spend 4 - 6 weeks orientation with a FOH Team. Full training and mentoring will be provided based on individual needs.
