We are currently working with an Independent Fostering Agency recruiting a Supervising Social Worker for the West Wales area. The annual salary starts at £32,000.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and skilled social worker to work with both specialist (Parent and Child and Therapeutic Led Placements) and mainstream placements. To manage a caseload of up to 12 foster parents (FTE), and work within a dedicated team to improve the outcomes and lives of children/young people who are looked after.

1. Being involved in the recruitment campaign for the programme foster carers.

2. The recruitment, assessment, and approval of foster carers.

3. Supporting and supervising foster parents in the delivery of the specialist service programmes plus our mainstream placements in accordance with Fostering Regulations.

4. Guide and support foster parents in understanding the developmental trauma needs of children, and how they need to respond and care for these children.

5. Working closely with the Foster Parents, Support Services, Therapeutic Services, Managers, the Team and other Professionals to deliver a high-quality service.
