The job

Brighton & Hove Albion FC are recruiting for a Lead Professional Development Coach to come and join the team and work with our U18s. You will coach and develop elite players primarily in the professional development phase of the player development pathway and prepare the players for elite professional football at the highest level.

What does the day to day look like?

It will be the post-holder’s responsibility to oversee on a day-to-day basis, the coaching programme for the U18 players at the BHAFC. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with other departments, such as medical, scouting, education and analysis to ensure a holistic and joined-up approach to player development and ensure that the highest possible standards are being delivered. You will monitor and assess the players during matches and training and maintain records using methods prescribed by the club for auditing players.

What we need

To be considered for the role, the post-holder will need to hold a UEFA A Licence and an Advanced Youth Award. It would be beneficial to hold a UEFA Pro Licence but this is not a prerequisite for the role.

It is essential that the post-holder has experience of working with U18’s and to have a high level of football industry knowledge with previous experience in full time professional football.

The successful candidate must also be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS CRC (Criminal Background Check).
