Job Overview

We are looking for an ambitious and creative Graphic Designer who will be working in a fast-paced team to create designs across a range of channels. The Graphic Designer will report to and work closely with the Head of Marketing and Head of Design to create and develop eye catching and compelling designs across a range of offline and online channels. About Flare Audio: Flare Audio is a fast-paced exciting audio technology company that designs and manufactures everything from earphones and earplugs to loudspeakers and cutting edge audio technology. Flare has gone from strength to strength since we started life in 2010 and now is the time to super-charge this. This role offers a great variety of design activities and will give you the opportunity to develop further skills.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

• Create innovative and visually striking designs across a range of channels including; email campaigns, brochures, website content, social media platforms, leaflets, posters, presentations and other documents.
• Take ownership of projects to create exciting and innovative materials for national sales, promotions and partnerships.
• Preparing and sending artwork for print.
• Take ownership over the ’house style’, ensuring all content is consistent and within brand guidelines.
• Participating in marketing workshops, brainstorming creative concepts for future campaigns.
• Support other departments in the company as and when required.

Key requirements

• You will need a 2:1 or higher degree in graphic design (or a similar subject).
• At least 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• An interest in new design styles and inclusivity and diversity in design with an ambition to be a trailblazer for new customer focussed design.
• The ability to plan and organise a project through several stages.
• User-centered approach.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A portfolio demonstrating a range of print and digital projects / an understanding of the print production process.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• The ability to multi-task and direct effectively under pressure, manage conflicting deadlines, and work quickly while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience design for print as well as web, digital and social media.
• After Effects / animation experience is extremely advantageous.
• Knowledge of video editing an advantage.

Salary £19,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience/qualifications

Working hours

You will be based at our Lancing site. Hours of work are 40 hours per week. You will usually work from 09.00 – 17.30 Monday to Friday but may have to work outside of these hours in order to meet deadlines.
