Our two year preceptorship programme aims to build and broaden your expertise and take you on a long term successful career pathway.The programme offers all graduates a rounded learning experience, allowing you to determine what approach is right for you; from self-management to teamwork, you will have access to the support necessary in order to enhance your own development. Throughout the programme, we will bring graduates together to review your learning and give you tailored development sessions to support your CPD.When it comes to support it’s all about balance. At Boots Hearingcare we base our learning around the 70/20/10 model. The majority of your development will happen “on the job”, and you will learn by doing and being in clinic. 20% of your learning will be with support from your Line Manager, Mentor and those in your local support network. Further development in a classroom environment may be arranged to keep you updated with new product launches and key learning. This model of learning will allow you to apply the practical knowledge and skills you have into a live working environment, underpinned by the Learning and Development Audiology team.As a Graduate Hearing Aid Audiologist with Boots Hearingcare you should:
  • Already possess or be eligible for registration as a Hearing Aid Dispenser with Health Care Professional Council (HCPC).
  • Be passionate about Audiology and ready to embrace innovation in products, technology and ways of working.
  • Put customers and colleagues at the forefront of everything you do by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strive for excellence by continuously seeking to improve your own skills, knowledge and ways of working.
  • Demonstrate a genuine desire to be part of the best team and support those around you to achieve the same goal.
  • Have an interest in understanding and embracing a clinical role within the private healthcare sector.
  • Be confident and articulate, able to listen to those in your care.
  • Have a desire to work with the latest technology and be IT literate, willing to learn how to navigate our fully integrated fitting systems, IT based patient management systems, Company email and intranet.
  • Be flexible, willing to run clinics during weekends where the demands of the store require.
