Job Purpose:

The European Vendor Marketing Manager owns and drives the European Vendor & marketing campaigns and program activity aligned to our Business Units.

They liaise between the European vendors and the Business Managers/Vendor Managers to create European marketing campaigns designed to drive growth and deliver the maximum Return On Investment (ROI) for their Vendors and Tech Data.

Accountabilities:

  • Build strong relationships within our European vendors and with Tech Data Business Units.
  • To develop and manage a marketing planning cycles for the vendors/ Business Units.
  • Creation and delivery of vendor marketing campaigns and programmes developed from within the planning cycle for the business unit
  • Create incremental revenue opportunities with the vendor through value added campaigns leveraging Tech Data’s value proposition and programmes
  • Negotiation with vendors for funding of marketing activities.
  • Measured on the ROI or effectiveness of driving growth within the business.
  • Targeted on marketing income and profit.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • Preferably degree educated with a marketing qualification (e.g. CIM or IDM) or proven equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast moving and pressured environment.
  • Proven experience of direction and strategic thinking.
  • Real knowledge of Vendors and integrated communication channels
  • Ability to engage end-to-end programme and campaign management from inception through to revenue generation.
  • Experience in all key areas of a marketing department environment (i.e., web, creative, CRM, support, services, advertising and direct mail).
  • Ability to communicate and build successful relationships at all levels in a cross matrix environment
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word);
Location: Basingstoke or Bracknell (UK) but can also be based out of Germany or Barcelona.
