Distribution Shift Centre Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Distribution Shift Centre Supervisorto join our team based in Lancing. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer you a competitive salary of £28,188 per annum.

The Distribution Shift Centre Supervisor Role:

You will work as part of a team which are responsible for the smooth running of the Warehouse/Distribution Centre and the movement of merchandise.

What will you be doing in the Distribution Shift Centre Supervisor role?

• Achieve optimum cost effectiveness in terms of Distribution Centre, storage and distribution costs whilst maintaining service
• Distribution Centre and delivery of goods to customers
• Manage and co-ordinate the day to day running of the Distribution Centre and delivery of goods to customers
• Oversee and advise management of any potential cost savings to the business
• Manage the co-ordination of off-site warehousing
• Manage the efficient movement of goods/stock through the Distribution Centre
• Ensure that all customer orders are processed through the Distribution Centre within term
• Ensure that the Distribution Centre environment is kept safe and secure and that the company Health and Safety policy is fully implemented by all the Distribution Centre staff
• Constantly review and recommend new working methods to drive efficiencies and provide cost savings
• Ensure that all staff are fully trained in most facets of the warehouse operation to allow flexible work practices
• Coach, manage and develop staff including yearly appraisals
• Be responsible for health and safety at scout store
• Fire marshal
• Key holder
