Are you about to begin your career in dietetics and looking for a post that would provide you with an excellent foundation in a supportive environment?

Or are you a Dietitian who wishes to expand their Band 5 experience in a variety of different clinical specialities?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the growing team of over 30 Dietitians in the York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as a Dietitian based at Scarborough Hospital (some cross-site working will be required). You will be joining a forward thinking department, which is valued and respected throughout the Trust and crosses many specialties.

The opportunity that we are offering will help to develop skills in many areas of acute hospital work. We will support you within a team set up and provide training, which will develop your skills in several areas of dietetics within a busy acute hospital environment.

You will have the opportunity to work with many experienced Dietitians, as well as within broader multi professional teams. You will be working with a friendly team of other Band 5 Dietitians and support workers who are based across York and Scarborough Hospitals, and together you will provide in-patient and out-patient services across medical, diabetes, surgery, critical care, gastroenterology, care of the elderly, cancer, and renal specialties.

The department places a strong emphasis on clinical and peer support and supervision, and has a well established programme facilitating the training of placement A, B, and C dietetic students. We are also involved in delivering a variety of rolling training programmes for other healthcare professionals across the Trust, relating to nutritional care.

The successful candidate will be involved in these important aspects of learning and development.
