We are looking for an experienced Building Technician with general building experience to join our Estates team on a full-time permanent basis.

Working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Estates helpdesk Team you will be required to carry out to carry out general non-complex preventative and reactive maintenance tasks within buildings and the external estate at our Falmouth Campus. It’s a varied role and represents a great opportunity to join a close-knit team.

The position will be primarily based from our Falmouth Campus, however, there may be a requirement for you to work at our Penryn Campus on occasion.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who has completed an apprenticeship or hold an NVQ equivalent qualification in plumbing, carpentry or building works along with substantial post qualification experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative, be able to assess and solve problems on site but be able to operate effectively as part of a great team.

We would like to hear from you if you have the following skills/experience:

• A range of maintenance skills such as carpentry, plumbing, decorating and lighting.
• Good communication & customer service skills.
• Basic IT skills.
• A current full driving license.
  

The working hours for this role will mainly be Monday to Friday each week, however, flexibility is key for this role as some weekend work may be required. You must be willing to participate in the Out of Hours Call out rota.
