Summary

The Knowledge and Insight Officer plays an important role in supporting the data and insight function of the policy team. You will work to bring information and statistics about diabetes care to life, helping the charity to tell the most compelling stories about diabetes to campaign for improved care.

Main Responsibilities

The Knowledge and Insight Officer will work closely with the Senior Knowledge and Insight Officer, you will help to identify, interpret and explain complex public health data and make it accessible to different audiences. You will be involved in both quantitative and qualitative research projects to help shape our policy and campaigns work. You will also be the first point of call for enquiries about diabetes related statistics and data within the charity, helping to identify and explain information that suits a variety of needs. Taking a particular lead on statistical work, you will support the team in making sense of what datasets can tell us about the past, present and future of diabetes in the UK.

Ideal Candidate

You will have a keen interest in using data and research to make a difference in public health is a must! To do this, you will have strong statistical skills, able to use Microsoft Excel to an advanced level. As an excellent communicator, you will be able to make complex data interesting and accessible for people with limited knowledge or confidence in these areas. Ideally, you will have experience of applying quantitative and qualitative research methods in the health sector and charity environment, through your education and or practical experience.
