The Livermead House Hotel is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our renowned kitchen team. Previous experience is desired and a willingness to learn and a ‘can-do’ personality is essential.

This role involves;

  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and hygiene is maintained at all times
  • Wash all cooking utensils, pots and crockery through the day
  • Manage the chemical and disposables supplies
  • Manage the refuse and recycling store to keep organised and tidy
  • Unloading deliveries
  • Assist your kitchen team as required
  • Maintain a clean, organised work environment
  • Kitchen close down at the end of the day

Successful candidates must have;

  • Good work ethic, reliable and take pride in work
  • High standards and excellent attention to detail
  • Enjoy working as part of a team in a busy fast pace environment
  • Flexible in relation to the days and hours of work
  • Previous experience working within a similar environment
  • Smart appearance

This role does involve working weekends and bank holidays and involves split shifts.

However, we would consider part time candidates who would work all morning shifts ( 20 hours ) or all evening shifts ( 20 hours), but we must be able to cover both shifts with 2 separate people so that the role for 40 hours is covered ( a quasi job share).
