We have a great NEW opportunity for an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our Food and Beverage Team in November 2023

Duties

As The Kitchen Manager, your key role will be to lead and supervise the kitchen and food preparation team ensuring that the kitchen department runs smoothly. You will supervise the kitchen by managing the pantry, controlling how food is stored and prepared and ensure high standards of food service are in place. Some of your main duties will include:

  • Ensuring that all food items and products are stored, prepared, and served to the highest standards
  • Ordering kitchen materials and ingredients based on the menu and market demand, in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Supervising food preparation in the kitchen and ensuring that customers are satisfied.
  • Maintaining a clean working environment and making sure that all team members are carrying out tasks and maintaining all records.
  • Maintaining adequate stock levels and conducting weekly stock takes.
  • Working with the Food & Beverage Manager to create menu items, pricing and establishing portion sizes of each meal, with all food allergens and menu spec sheets are updated.
  • Complete rotas/scheduling shifts by business hours, days, and business requirements.
  • Carry out and oversee the training of employees to ensure the safe operation of kitchen equipment and utensils all within the guidelines of RBH Health and Safety Policy and Procedures.
  • Conduct out HR functions, communication briefing and team member performance reviews.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  • Experience within the hospitality industry is essential
  • Ability to plan menus and order materials and ingredients accordingly
  • Good conflict management skills
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with flexibility
  • Excellent communication skills, with a “can do” attitude
  • Organised and methodical
  • Be computer literate, capable to place orders and contact suppliers through our purchase order system
  • High Standard of personal appearance and hygiene
  • Flexibility with shift times/availability to meet the needs of the business
