Position : Trainee Site Manager, Junior Site Manager
Sector : any one from mechanical, electrical, utilities, structural engineering, civil engineering,
Experience required : some installation, commissioning, site work, construction etc
Salary : £30,000-£40,000 plus car / allowance, full benefits package

You MUST already have the right to live and work in the UK and be in possession of a full UK riving licence.

We are pleased to present this opportunity, working for a fantastic organisation that design and delivers multi-disciplinary CAPEX projects that consist of various elements including mechanical, electrical, utilities, structural engineering, civil engineering, control systems etc.

This role may suit someone coming out the military, someone working in trades at the moment and looking to get into management or a young graduate with some years experience but looking to take the next step in their career into a management position.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a Junior / Trainee Site Manager

The Role:
  • Typically sites will be active for preparation, build, installation, commissioning and handover phases of a project.
  • Due to project needs, you may work away Mon-Fri (some weekends are required, not routine so only if job needs it)
  • Will require you to read and deliver work programmes and interpret engineering drawings
  • As site manager, you will have responsibility to manage and monitor site progress
  • Willing to manage experienced contractors; mainly Mechanical, Electrical & Civil

About you :

  • Holds a formal qualification in a relevant engineering subject, ideally to HNC / HND level
  • Holds a full, clean UK driving licence
  • Is able and willing to work on sites throughout the UK and occasionally abroad. Many of the sites are in locations that are not commutable from Goole / Doncaster in a day and you will need to stay away overnight for up to a week at a time
  • Has some experience of working on sites, probably in installation, commissioning or similar
  • SMSTS and a CSCS card
  • Holds, or prepared to undergo IOSH accreditation
  • Has a good appreciation of PPE required on construction sites
  • Experienced within a Health and Safety culture including and experienced with RAMS
  • Strong interpersonal skills with willingness to get stuck in and involved
