Principal Purpose of the Job:

Our Client is a Global Banking Group and their Regulatory Reporting Department is fully integrated; working with various stakeholders both internally and externally in order to achieve accurate regulatory reporting submissions.


The Junior Regulatory Accountant will prepare and deliver regulatory submissions covering capital, liquidity, market, interest rate and FX risks to the PRA and statistical reporting to the Bank of England.


Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Play a key part in preparing and submitting the firm’s regulatory documents including ICAAP and Pillar 3.
  • Be involved in all monthly/quarterly regulatory submissions covering all COREP, FINREP and statistical reporting to the Bank of England. Opportunity to get involved in other key projects across the Bank e.g. SOFR migration, AxiomSL V10 migration and the Bank’s Global Data Project,
  • The right person will have a good understanding of the UK regulatory environment and be familiar with regulatory rules and calculations.
  • Meeting the regulatory requirements is an extremely important part of the Bank’s obligations. You must be highly organised, proactive and motivated to work independently.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, strong attention to detail and being able to see the bigger picture are valuable attributes.

Skills Required:

  • Individual who is in the early stages of studying to become an accountant or is part qualified and who has 2 – 3 years’ experience with regulatory accounting;
  • Be able to demonstrate good technical knowledge across liquidity reporting, interest rate risk reporting, FX risk reporting, capital reporting, market risk reporting;
  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience; being able to demonstrate where you have used extensive formulas/models;
  • Experience in working in financial services in institutions similar the Bank;
  • Proven experience of being a self-starter with experience of seeing submissions from end to end. Furthermore you will be an excellent team player / flexible, who looks to add value to current processes where possible;
  • Ability to operate with stakeholders/manage projects which potentially span across all functions within the Bank;
  • A good understanding and knowledge of AxiomSL regulatory software is highly desired but not essential;
  • Be flexible in working style and be expected to cover other team members when on holiday.
