As Quality Controller you will be expected to understand all client deliverables produced by the Fixed Line Planning Design Team and provide definitive quality guidelines and instruction to the Fixed Line Planning Team Leads in the day-to-day operation to produce deliverables for clients.
Reporting to the Planning Manager your duties will include:
1. Understand the quality expectations for each client and develop tools to ensure they are fully understood by the Planning Team Leads.
2. Create and maintain design production quality guidelines for endorsement by the client and issue to the design team.
3. Close liaison with the H&S Manager to ensure that all H&SE requirements are applied to the quality deliverable of a planning package.
4. Support the GIS developer to ensure that quality expectations are applied to all GIS output from the Planning Teams.
5. Consistently conduct random quality checks on all client work streams and provide feedback to the Planning Team Leads on errors found and methods of improvement.
6. Maintain a weekly reporting system to the Planning Manager on design quality output indicating quality trends and recommendations for improvement.
7. Support the Planning Team Leads and Project Co-ordinators in the development of realistic delivery schedules based on quality control elements of the project.
8. You will also support the Planning Team Lead in production of client deliverable as and when required.
9. Liaise with clients as primary point of contact for quality to understand and assess the implementation of client quality expectations on the Company deliverable and report to the Planning Manager.
This role is based at the Cambridgeshire office but with occasional travel required to other company offices and client offices around the country.
The quality of the design deliverable is paramount to the continuing success of the Fixed Line Planning Team in supporting our Build Team and our clients. This role is critical in this and is ideally suited to a studious and organised individual who is a team player with good communication and organisation skills.
Experience in the planning and/or build functions of the operators listed above is advantageous.
