Junior IT Technician
This permanent position to start as soon as possible is fulltime, 37 hours per week, to be worked over 5 days Monday to Friday (8.00am to 4.00pmMonday to Thursday, 8.00am to 3.30pm Friday, including a 30 minute lunchbreak). The salary is paid at Scale 2, points 3 – 4, £20,812 to £21,189 per annum.

Purpose of the Role
To provide at all times a professional, courteous and rapid response to staff and students needing IT support at CWLC.
To prioritise any issues that are having the greatest impact on teaching and learning and respond accordingly.
To provide maintenance on an array of ICT equipment throughout the school.

Main Duties
· To provide day to day maintenance of the computer equipment (cleaning, cable management).
· Scheduled daily checks on all equipment in computer rooms and classrooms.
· Setup IT equipment for assemblies, presentations, meetings, etc. This will include some occasional after school support.
· General troubleshooting of hardware/software issues.
· Build and when necessary rebuild workstations (both software and hardware).
· Install/ deploy curriculum software.
· Set-up and configure IT equipment.
· Delivery of new or replacement hardware and consumables to staff.
· Check Anti-Virus software is up to date on clients.
· Maintain a log of work undertaken and when necessary create detailed documentation on what was done.
· Replacement of faulty parts.
· Transporting equipment and parts around the school.
· Undertake routine administration tasks related to the ICT department.
· Provide basic one to one training when necessary.
· To provide support with exams (setting up laptops ready for students an providing support throughout the day).
· Maintain laptop trolleys throughout the school.
· Manage and maintain the Asset logs for all IT equipment in all offices and classrooms, logging each in our Asset Management program.
· To undertake any other IT related activities the Network Manager considers to be part of your duties.

General and review
To understand and be prepared to support the ethos of the school by:
- Promoting good relationships with students, parents, colleagues, governors, LA and agency staff and visitors to the school.
- Promoting high standards of student behaviour inside the classroom and around the school generally, following the school’s behaviour policy.
- Promoting high standards of personal presentation and conduct, including being punctual and using social network media appropriately.
- Completing training in the relevant areas to meet all safeguarding and health and safety standards as advised by CWLC and government policy.
- Being aware of all matters of health and safety related to the working environment.
