THE OPPORTUNITY


We have the exciting opportunity to join our internal Systems team as Junior IT & Systems Manager.

As Junior IT & Systems Manager you will make an impact by ensuring the smooth running of our global internal IT systems, working closely with our UK and USA Head Office and Warehouse Operations teams. You will manage and lead a small team to deliver excellent IT and systems support in a proactive and timely manner, ensuing clear communication throughout.

You will work closely with the IT and Systems Manager to ensure that any new services are implemented and transitioned to day-to-day support effectively. You will support leaders across various departments across the business including, but not limited to; Warehouse Operations, Customer Service and Ecommerce. If IT and systems support is required, you will be the person on speed dial.

If you’ve had experience working in a fast-paced IT & Systems support team, who enjoys mentoring others, working in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for systems and technology and has strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon to non-technical stakeholders, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

You will be predominantly based at our Head Office in Banbury, Oxfordshire, with the opportunity to work from home once a week on average dependent on business needs.

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE

  • Managing a support team, ensuring any issues are resolved in a timely manner and supporting their development through active feedback and following the company’s people management processes
  • Establishing best practice throughout the support process
  • Liaising with 3rd parties on support issues
  • Helping to deliver and transition system projects
  • Attending daily calls to support the day-to-day operations of the business, providing support or guidance as and when required
  • Ensuring processes are followed and documented clearly
  • Recognising opportunities to improve process efficiencies and implementing them
  • Supporting key business processes with working knowledge of applications and integrations
  • Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably requested by the company

THE TALENT YOU’LL BRING

  • Experience working with operations and warehouse management systems
  • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels, with the ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms
  • Good working knowledge of excel
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with variety of people from different backgrounds or roles
  • Strong general IT skills, ability to diagnose hardware or software issues and troubleshoot or teach troubleshooting methods
  • Power BI experience is desirable
  • Ability to read and write SQL is desirable
  • Knowledge of business processes and ERP systems is desirable

  • A salary of £37,000 - £40,000 DOE
  • 25 days holiday rising to 27 with length of service, plus bank holiday
