Junior Data Analyst

A global Newspaper is looking to hire a talented and hardworking Junior Data Analyst who will report directly into the Analytics Manager and will work on the editorial side of the business. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing valuable insights to the content team from a variety of data sources used by the publisher such as party traffic, social media, SEO & video analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain user access for the suite of analytical tools used across the business.
  • Compiling reports to help stakeholders monitor relevant KPIs from social media, SEO & video analytics.
  • Support content planning and assessment processes by providing editorial insights.
  • To actively monitor competitors using Social and SEO listening tools.
  • Ensuring analysis and actionable insights for the newsroom fit with business objectives and proactively identify publishing trends.
  • Handle all data in a secure manner within the Data Protection Act and Company Code of Conduct.

Key Requirements:

  • To have a University numerical degree (Physics, Maths, etc)
  • ½ a year of web analytics experience within Adobe Analytics
  • Tag management & debugging experience
  • Excellent written and oral communications
  • To be well versed in using Excel
  • Able to work independently and to hit tight deadlines
  • To have very high attention to detail
  • To have excellent problem-solving skills
