Main duties of the job

Please note that these posts are not the same as the Clinical Fellow Posts with PHEM, Global EM and Mountain Medicine options.

We are happy to welcome doctors who wish to just have a taster of EM prior to doing something else, or those committed to a career in the specialty. Our team consists of 13 SHO-tier doctors (3 x F2, 2 x ACCS, 3 x GPST and 5 x Junior Clinical Fellows) plus an Academic F2; ten Clinical Fellows in EM/PHEM; 1 EM HST trainee; eight Consultants; and two Associate Specialists. We also have a team of fantastic ENPs.

This post is identical in every way to our deanery training posts: there’s protected training every Thursday afternoon within the ED, plus a variety of other junior doctor tutorials and teaching sessions. You will also have an educational supervisor to help you achieve your career aims. Plus, we can offer you up to 11 days personal development time to attend suitable training opportunities. This is in addition to study leave which comes with a budget to fund your choice of life support course.
