  • Management of the UKs Power Cable Jointers to deliver projects within programme and scope.
  • Allocation of jointers to projects, ENS works, CA and HV Laboratories.
  • Responsible for discipline, training, career progression and the technical quality of jointing.
  • Oversee and ensure good, safe working practice and the application of technical best practice in strict accordance with jointing instructions.
  • Attend project sites in the event of jointing problems, identifying the causes of problems, and leading the development of corrective solutions.
  • Preparation of tooling lists for each project, working with the Logistics Manager, Sales Office and Cable Accessories.
  • Work with the Operations Manager and HR Manager to provide innovation and continuous improvements in jointing processes and working practices including collaboration with trade unions.
  • Work with the Operations Manager and HR Manager to maintain standards of discipline, training, career progression and the technical quality of jointing.
  • Directing the training functions of the Jointing School including training harmonisation within Prysmian Group.
  • Represent the UK jointing engineering function at meetings with customers, consultants and affiliates in the UK and overseas.
