We go above and beyond for our customers, building lasting relationships by putting the customer first and ensuring we deliver what you need on time and in full.Reporting to the General Manager on site, we are looking for a Joinery Manage to take overall responsibility for the joiners shop and mill and build on the fantastic Nordstrom brand that already exists.This role creates an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to manage full operations including health & safety, training and people management. You will need to have significant experience in manufactured joinery products with a desire to achieve and expand on the profitability of the branch. Delivering a quality product to customers and other branches within the company, you will drive sales and productivity in this niche area of the business.The Main Duties For This Role Include
  • Develop and maintain productive client relationships
  • Drive and increase live account base through manufactured joinery products
  • Ensure all customer enquiries are responded to a timely manner, both in person and over the phone/via email
  • Ensure that all joinery end product items for the customer are finished to the highest standard
  • Develop relationships with all JT Dove branches to help drive manufactured joinery sales through the business where possible rather than outsourcing to a third-party supplier
  • Arrange site visits as required for current and new customers to include site measures when necessary
  • Have the ability to review drawings, specifications, quote and price for customer projects
  • Maintain discipline and morale within the team with a high degree of commitment and loyalty. Recruit, motivate and manage the manufactured joinery team that consists of machinists, bench hand joiners and spray painters
  • Ensure all staff training is complete, this includes all relevant JT Dove annual training plus refresher and new starter training on all machinery needed for the role
  • Ensure all H&S rules are followed under the current regulations for all machinery and under the companies Health & Safety policy
  • Establish relationships with key suppliers and maximise their assistance in achieving targets
  • Co-ordinate and manage the work flow through the workshop, resolve any problems identified in order to meet required customer delivery timescales
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Substantial experience in manufactured joinery products
  • Knowledge of Kerridge would be beneficial
  • Excellent inter-personal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of the builders merchant sector
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Full UK driving licence with the ability to travel to customer sites as necessary
