Position Summary

As Digital Trading Manager, you will lead, trading, optimisation & operational strategy for Jo Malone London’s digital flagship & largest door, jomalone co.uk . You will be responsible for creating personalised, brand right, consumer journeys & experiences that enchant, delight & serve consumer intent.

This role supports the creation & delivery of Jo Malone London’s omni channel brand strategy through our brand website. Strengthening the digital flagship positioning of our brand site by creating best in class omni channel experiences, seamless digital consumer journeys & driving trade to optimise key KPIS of conversion, revenue & engagement.

You will be an expert in your field, leading and inspiring our teams with your innovative out of the box thinking & positive collaborative attitude. This role will report into the Digital & Online Director & will manage 1 direct & 1 dotted line report, working with the Integrated Media Manager & Retailer.com Manager you will deliver a cohesive digital strategy.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Digital Flagship

  • Bring the 360 digital brand experience to life on jomalone.co.uk, serving the right consumer the right product/experience at the right time.
  • Drive best in class experience lead commerce strategy to drive continuous channel growth contributing to 50% digital MOB
  • Surprise & delight the most loyal consumers of the brand by creating a point of difference through product offering, content, services & experience.

Trading & finance

  • Define and drive the trading strategy for the UK website in order to achieve sales objectives while preserving equity and building brand integrity.
  • Create, own & lead the execution of annual retail trade plan built to deliver sales targets
  • Act with agility, making data driven decisions based on sales, site performance & traffic trends
  • Drive always on A/B / MV testing strategy to create & optimise personalised, seamless consumer journeys
  • Drive always on SEO optimisation strategy in partnership with Global Online & COE teams
  • Contribute actionable insights to brand trade & business reports
  • Work closely with the demand planning team to monitor inventory levels and oversee appropriate adjustments to the site (i.e. manage out-of-stock levels, discontinued products, new launch stock allocations).
  • Drive and evolve high traffic moments to carve out new opportunities and capitalise on emerging customer behaviours.
  • Provide actionable insight on brand site performance to wider and take ownership of delivering seamless consumer journey & optimisation
  • Manage & optimise experience, engagement & service led features on site via visibility, functionality & feature optimisation
  • Partner with supply chain, customer care, centre of excellence & other corporate teams to ensure seamless & brand right operations & optimisation across the board.

Operations

  • Point of contact & escalation for Customer Contact Centre
  • Collaborate with DC & supply chain teams to ensre best in class post purchase experience at scale.

Website Management

  • Own development roadmap for the brand, liaising with global brand & regional COE teams to prioritise & plan delivery of site updates, new features & functionality to deliver best in class user experience
  • Accountable for site refresh process that takes into account brand programs, consumer trends as well as regional focus & goals.
  • Work with Global team to ensure all new launch strategies are relevant and optimised for the UK market execution.
  • Own and drive all on site KPI’s (such as Conversion, AOV, IPT, Traffic, Bounce Rate and Revenue) by developing targeted strategies that support growth while maintaining brand equity & luxury positioning
  • Lead the team in site trade, hygiene & optimisation best practices
  • Support & contribute to omni channel initiatives

Team Management

  • Lead and inspire the Digital Trade team.
  • Coach direct reports giving regular feedback on performance as well as ad-hoc training sessions to allow the direct reports to develop and progress.
  • Lead by example and cultivate a supportive and engaging working environment.
  • Inspire & spread digital awareness amongst wider brand teams

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Strategic thinker with results & performance driven mentality
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce best practise, website metrics, data analysis, and reporting tools
  • Proficient in Web Analytics tools, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
