Java Developer

Job description

Role: Java Developer x4 and NodeJS developer x2
Contracting Authority:DWP
Contract Length: End of financial year - 31/03 (initially)
Location:Remote - Any hubs thereafter Leeds, Manchester, Blackpool, Newcastle or London
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate: £550 for Java or £650 for Node, this is from the client, if this rate would not suffice we are happy to accept offers but the skill set below must be met (or surpassed)

Minimum Requirement:

• Strong Java (11) Spring or Strong NodeJS
• Strong knowledge of Software Design Patterns
• Strong understanding and experience of Database technologies such as Mongo, Postgres, MySQL
• Strong CI/CD Automation with GitLab CI, Concourse or similar technology
• Containerisation - tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Git and Git branching strategies
• Strong understanding and experience of APIs, RESTful services and Microservice Architectures
• TDD & BDD
• Good understanding of AWS.
• Collaborate across teams of Software Engineers and key technical decision makers to define the strategic vision for our products.
• Collaborate with the Principal Software Engineering community to ensure usability, accessibility, security, stability and capacity are embedded in the development of our citizen services.
