Java Developer needed for a highly reputable and leading organisation based in either the Weymouth or High Wycombe area who are looking to employ a Java Developer that can lead and contribute to Java HCI design and development effort. The Java Developer will provide hands-on development experience and contribute with a broad range of software disciplines including design, coding, testing and integration.

What The Role Entails

Some of the main duties of the Java Developer will include:
  • Software component level and detailed design utilizing the Unified Modelling Language (UML)
  • Contributing to Software Design, Test, Maintenance and Release documentation
  • HCI framework design targeted at Java/JavaFX.
  • Software implementation and unit test
  • Greenfield and Brownfield software development
  • Software Integration, verification and defect resolution
  • Contributing to a team effort within an Agile environment
What experience you need to be a successful Java Developer:
  • STEM subject and commercial software experience that is transferable to software development
  • You have an awareness of all of:
  • HCI using Java/JavaFX
  • Software Test, Integration and Verification
  • Linux
  • Continuous Integration, for example Jenkins
  • Software Design, ideally based on UML
  • Software Configuration and Build Management, for example GIT
  • Good problem-solving skills
